For instance, all-optical Fredkin logic gate has been used to realize all-optical full-adder, MUX/DEMUX, XOR/XNOR with bacteriorhodopsin protein coated silica microcavities by cascading the pump and the probe outputs at Pt and Pd as inputs to other logic gates [37].
