The Department of Modern Languages & Linguistics can provide students with placements in local and international internship positions related to their study of the Spanish language and culture. This Convention shall in no way affect the international treaties and conventions in force between Contracting States, nor existing national standards, which provide for greater advantages than those granted under this Convention. Our initiatives focus on three priority areas of intervention which we see to be the strategic combination to overcome shared challenges in countries in Latin America and the Caribbean: women's political participation and leadership, women's economic empowerment, and ending violence against women and girls.
